Clayton Dewandre were some of the earliest suppliers of power brake systems, and some of the first power brakes available on Rovers were made by them. However, it's not the modern brake booster as we know it. Below, with more ads, a cutaway of one as fitted to a Bristol bus:

The 1930s: when the Germans were cool, and advertisers were almost sure their style of capitalizing would catch on. Except it didn't, and they never got the hang of it anyway.
